Cell Phone Vent Holder
Do you think this is a safe thing to use in the car?
I was doing some xmas shopping yesterday, and I came across this neat little thing that you hook up in your car to hold things like your cell phone, your iPod, sunglasses, etc. It looks like a little cup holder, and it has a hook on it, seems like metal, covered with fabric, and you’re supposed to hook it into the vent where the heat/AC comes out of the dashboard. Since it’s winter right now, and the heat is on all the time full blast, is this safe? I’m not sure I want to put a piece of fabric in there, but it would sure be handy! The iPod connects inside the glove compartment and the wire is not that long, and hanging it from that vent would actually be in the perfect spot, but I don’t want to cause a fire or something. But if that’s how it was designed, do you think it’s safe?
Yes its safe because the heat that is coming from the vents will never get hot enough to cause you any problems……………….
