What is the best Verizon touch screen cell phone?
my b-day is coming up and i dont know which phone to get =( can u help me out.
At the moment, Verizon sells the LG Voyager, Dare and Versa, Motorola Krave, and the Samsung Glyde. If you want a keyboard for sending text messages, the Voyager, Versa or Glyde would be best. The Versa is the newest phone of the three, and the keyboard is a detachable module that can be swapped out for other accessories (pretty cool). It’s also the most expensive. The Voyager is good but it’s an old model, soon to be replaced (it’s been out for over a year). The Dare is a nice phone though I think the screen is a bit small. The Glyde has now been released in a new version that doesn’t have the screen problems, though I would recommend one of the others.
Those phones mentioned above are “dumbphones” or “feature phones”, good for many tasks, but if you want something even more powerful, there are “smartphones” like the Samsung Omnia, Saga, HTC Touch Pro and Palm Centro (And a couple of others). However, all of those require a $30 a month extra data plan, so you may not be able to get any of those. They are also a bit more complicated than the Voyager, Versa etc.
If you can, go to a Verizon store and try out all of the phones to see which one you like best; all of them should work great for you as long as you get the phone that you like.
