Android (tmobile), worth it?
So, I’ve been using the original iPhone 2g for about 2 years now and my wifi broke so it’s not much use to me anymore except for an iPod. I’ve been looking for new phones and knowing I’m eligible for an upgrade on tmo is a plus. I’ve looked at the Samsung Vibrant and it looks awesome, I just have a few questions regarding android.
1) How much would the Vibrant cost after a contract renewal?
2) Can I cancel the “required” data plan after a month?
3) Is there an app for cracked apps? Like installous for iPhone
I am no way a newbie when it comes to phones. I was an agent for At&t as well as sprint, I host a few mass cell phone forums, and even created a few iPhone apps. I just have no experience with android and have forgotten the whole tmobile process when it comes to new phones
I say go with a Nexus one or wait for the G2 at the end of the month. The vibrant is a good phone tho.
1. tmo has sales going on not for sure but i think amazon has it for 99 cents with a 2 year agreement
2. No you are required to have a data plan on the account if you buy it under contract. If you pay full price then now you dont have to. One thing with android is no MMS with out the data.
3. Just pay for the Damn apps if you cant afford the 2-3 bucks then you dont need a smart phone
