Cell Phone Holsters Belt
A few stupid questions about air travel…?
My 1st flight is in a few weeks, I’m getting super nervous, mainly about little things – that I hope I don’t break any common sense rules &/or hold up the lines. I’ve read the regulations but still need some reassurance…
I’m taking my cell phone, can I have my cell in my waist belt holster where I always carry it or does it need to be in a bag? Is it ok to bring my cell charger in my carry on? I will not have any checked baggage (so I’m 100% certain nothing gets lost).
The 2nd carry on bag I plan to take has 1 metal zipper inside of it, will that be ok, or do I need to get a zipper less bag?

When you go through security, you’ll take off anything with significant metal: Belt if it has a metal buckle, watch with a metal band, large jewelry, keys and change removed from pants pocket. You’ll also take off your cell phone. You’ll put all them in your bin. You’ll also take off your shoes and jacket and put them in a bin. If you are carrying gels and liquids in your 1 quart ziptop bag, it also goes in the bin. You can use more than 1 bin if you need it.
Your cell charger is fine in your carry on bag. It’s fine if the bag has metal parts or contains metal things that aren’t weapons.
Hold onto your boarding pass. Slide your bin(s) and your bags onto the conveyer belt for screening. Bags go directly on the belt (not in a bin). Then wait for the security agent to tell you to walk through the metal detector. Show your boarding pass.
At the other end, gather your stuff. Step out of the way to put on your jacket, shoes, etc. Make sure you didn’t forget anything.
I assume you know about restrictions about liquids and gels in your carry on. You’re allowed a 1 quart ziptop bag. Each container in the bag needs to be 3oz or smaller. Even if it’s only partly full, the container needs to be that small.
