If I am still in contract for my cell phone do I have to pay full price for a new 1 even though its on sale?
I really want a new phone but I am still in contract for another year. I was wondering if I went to buy a new phone and it was on sale could I pay the sale price or would I have to pay the full price for being in contract.

You would have to pay the full price. The discounted price is for people signing a new contract or renewing (if thy are eligible). If you’re only 1 year into your 2 year contract, then you would not be eligible for upgrade.
The best solution is to buy a phone from a private party via craigslist or ebay.
